Originally
from Poznan Poland, Stretch wanted to live in the United States for our overpriced health care. Instead, he
moved to Canada hoping to start a career selling snowblower's. He soon realized that Canadian's
have an unhealthy obsession with hockey, socialized medicine, and ketchup flavored potato chips. After a failed attempt
to launch a "Royal Commission", to replace the Canadian "Maple Leaf", with a "Ketchup Potato
Chip", he left the country.
Stretch wanted to be in showbiz. He first tried out for a popular children's
show, but didn't like the idea of living in a trash can. Since he is fearful of "big yellow birds", he
turned down the job opportunity. His agent started having him audition for television commercials. This
was very discouraging because he couldn't "aflack" as good as a duck, or insure a car better than a gecko.
Stretch finally got a job working for a small UHF station in Dallas Texas. The children's program
was called "Stretch in the Morning", and aired weekdays at 1 p.m. Many people were confused
because they thought the program was about excercise. Despite the confusion, and most children were in
school, or taking a nap at 1 p.m., the program lasted just over 20 years.
